Preschool Gardening

Presented by Shanice Johnson, BS, CHES, Health Education, Field Representative Morris County Office of Health Management and by Cynthia Winslow, Curator of Education and Community Engagement for Macculloch Hall Historical Museum

Join Shanice Johnson and Cynthia Winslow to learn how to incorporate gardening into your child care program. The workshop objective is for attendees to leave with simple strategies to integrate nutrition, health and gardening into everyday lessons. Cynthia will discuss the “Dig it! Plant it! Eat it!” program which actively runs at the Mallulloch Hall while Shanice will share her experiences implementing Health Education in Child Care Centers. Good nutrition at a young age has the potential to encourage healthy habits for life and you can make a difference! Active participation, activities, self-assessments and PLAT’s will be used to determine understanding and to obtain CEU’S.
